Animal Tales - 110

Welcome to Animal Tales, the monthly linky for all your animal stories.  If you have an animal related blog post (old or new) then come and link up!

Last month I mentioned that we were getting a new dog and you can read about him in my linked post from the gite blog. I can't quite believe we have had him a month already!  A new dog is not the only new addition at Eco-Gites of Lenault and look what I woke up to one morning last week ... a rather unexpected late lamb!

Favourites from last month

Thank you to everyone who linked up to the March Animal Tales.  To say the theme of this little linky is animals there was still such a range of subjects .  As dogs and cats usually feature in more posts it was nice to see some different animals (and birds) getting a look in.  Animal Tales certainly seems to have a farm related theme this month!

Emma from Farmer's Wife and Mum had me nodding sagely as she explained the complicated issue of chicken maths ie why chicken owners are always allowed to buy more birds!

Lucy from Kids of the Wild wrote about Britain's only truly wild cattle at Chillingham.  Yes - WILD cattle that are more endangered than Giant Pandas.

Your turn now.  You can add up to TWO animal posts and if you tweet with the hashtag #AnimalTales and @greenrosielife I'll retweet you.  Just give me a nudge if I appear to have forgotten you.

Full details of the linky can be found here but can I remind people of a couple of the "rules":

  • Please can you include my badge (preferably) or a link back to this blog.
  • This is a blog link so please comment on the host post(s) and at least two other blogs in the link up, ideally including the one in front of you.  Thank you.
  • Pinterest - not a rule but for even greater exposure of your blog post please do join the Animal Tales Pinterest board and pin a picture from your linked posts. Vertical pictures are best for Pinterest.

  1. Hi Rosie, sad to say that despite me commenting on every post each month, that yours was the only comment i received last month *insert sad face* I know people are busy but it really irritates me that they have time to write their post and link up, but not to comment on others. It's the way with quite a few links I'm finding at the moment. Anyway without further a do, I'm off to read your two posts now

    1. Hi chickenruby! I do understand your frustration. All I can say is that there have been several occasions when I have tried to comment on other posts but have been unable to do so or I have ended up adding the same comment several times; the joys of technology..

    2. I get beaten by by captchas etc and to sign into my google account which for some silly reason is different to my blog account. It’s occuring now (lack of comments) on most on the linkys sadly

  2. Thanks for hosting yet another lovely linky and for the Chillingham wild beasts mention! This month's post is one of my kid's writing articles. It's fiction but hoping to get more children sharing their wild adventure stories at Kids of the Wild (preferably fact based)
