This is my blog, A Green and Rosie Life, which is all about helping you live life that bit greener without having to build an off-grid log cabin in the woods or knit your own nettle fibre undies! It's about helping you make simple changes that together will make a big difference to our beautiful world and make it a better place for our children.

Very calming to look at!
ReplyDeleteThe rippling water was calming, yes. It was a lovely spot and we had it all to ourselves.
DeleteNow they are what I would call REAL stepping stones! :)
ReplyDeleteExactly - although they are not passable in Winter!
DeleteNow that looks like great fun!
ReplyDeleteIt was - we spent ages there!
DeleteWhat a gorgeous spot-somewhere I'd enjoy being with the family too. I hope you had a lovely time enjoying the surroundings.
ReplyDeleteWe did thank you, Iona :)
DeleteThat's a lovely photo. Reminds me of North Wales.
ReplyDeleteDon't know N Wales - this was Exmoor near my Mum's.
DeleteThat looks like perfection! Did anyone fall (or get pushed!) in? xx
ReplyDeleteNot THIS time ;)
DeleteThis looks like such and adventure! #mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteThe boys loved it :)
DeleteI want to have a go at that right now!
ReplyDeleteLOL - it's Exmoor near the village of Withypool!
DeleteI love places like this and having been on your FB page I know you were in Exmoor and had them to yourselves. I bet it was near on perfection.
ReplyDeleteWe were lucky as we were out of English school holidays plus in what is a quieter part of Exmoor anyway. It was lovely to have the sun shining for once too ;)
DeleteThat looks like such a fun way to cross the stream :-) x #SilentSunday
ReplyDeleteWe did the same crossing a few days earlier and the stone just in front of Ben was actually wet then ... and slippery! The whole thing becomes impassable after rain and in winter so we were glad we could cross it.
DeleteWe have a stepping stone river near us, I love it, beautiful photo Rosie doesn't the sun make everything better x
ReplyDeleteIt does indeed - so often it is wet when we visit Mum so this made a wonderful change.
DeleteWhat a great shot!!!
ReplyDeletePlease come link up your photos at Wordless Wednesday (on Tuesday). This week’s linkup can be found at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2015/04/at-keyboard.html.
I hope to see you each week!
Thank you Sue
DeleteGreat shot! Looks a bit cold if he went in though! ;)
ReplyDeleteLuckily he didn't and yes, I think it would have been chilly!
DeleteThe start of a brilliant adventure. How could you not want to cross the stepping stones.
ReplyDeleteI have crossed them before but this was the first time for the boys and they loved them.
DeleteWhat a fab shot! Great leading lines and just such a beautiful scene. It wouldn't be the same without seeing up the hill in the background.
ReplyDeleteThank you Stella ... and the hill turned out to be quite a slog up!
DeleteThis looks gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteHelen - #silentsunday
Thank you, Helen :)
DeleteAhh this looks perfect, I'd love a go but fear I would slip on my bum
ReplyDeleteThis time all the stones were dry so not slippery but a few days earlier we were also there and the one stone in front of Ben was wet and slippery ... but we did all manage to stay dry (albeit with my camera passed OVER the stone rather than round my neck as I stepped on the wet stone!)
DeleteWhat an adventure, lovely photo x
ReplyDeleteMerci, Sharon.
DeleteI want a go across these stepping stones! What fun!
ReplyDeleteInviting aren't they? We *may* have gone across a few more times than was strictly necessary!
DeleteAwww ... love the capture of the movement; so beautiful, and brave too. A cheerful capture. #aNoviceMumCommentLuv
ReplyDeleteMy two are always up for something challenging - they love rick climbing too ;)
DeleteBrilliant photo, my girls would no doubt slip in the water
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up
I'm sure they wouldn't, have faith in their abilities ;)
DeleteThanks for hosting #MySundayPhoto.
What a wonderful spot - and capture!
ReplyDeleteMerci, Kriss - it was so good there we went twice last week!
DeleteFab photo! That looks a lot of fun! I hope no one ended up in the water x
ReplyDeleteNot THIS time, Kim ;)
DeleteSuch a fun looking photo!xx
ReplyDeleteIt was fun :)
DeleteOh i use to love doing this as a child x
ReplyDeleteI still do, LOL
DeleteWhat a lovely shot of a super place, love stepping stones.
ReplyDeleteIt was great and the boys really enjoyed crossing the stones... several times in fact!
DeleteThose are great stepping stones
ReplyDeleteAren't they just - I prefer them to Tar Steps although they are of course much younger.
DeleteLovely place! I want to cross that river too! #mysundayphoto
