This is my blog, A Green and Rosie Life, which is all about helping you live life that bit greener without having to build an off-grid log cabin in the woods or knit your own nettle fibre undies! It's about helping you make simple changes that together will make a big difference to our beautiful world and make it a better place for our children.

Love this photo. Evokes a very early morning, quiet, feeling.
ReplyDeleteThank you Brooke - it was amazingly calm the day I took that photo. I had actually gone out aiming to get a completely different photo but Nature decided to change my plans!
ReplyDeleteMisty mornings are so much more attractive in the country!
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting "Looking for Blue Sky". We certainly get some lovely misty mornings here although I have to say when I went out at 7.10am on the school run it was foggy and not nice at all!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture with the fog - it makes everything look a little bit better and eerier!
ReplyDeleteIt was quite eerie, especially as it was so quiet. Anything could have been hiding in the fog ...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful moody photo Rosie, the sort of weather we don't get in the south much, if ever, but I'm commenting from North Yorkshire where it's horribly windy, damp and grey today so your photo actually looks like good weather!!
ReplyDeleteOh that certainly looks a bit spooky!
ReplyDeletePhoebe - we get our fair share of fog here but it does usually mean a lovely day to follow ... and this day was no exception. Hope things are improving up in North Yorks.
ReplyDeleteFozia - it was more eerie than spooky. Spooky is scary, this wasn't as it was so calm.
ReplyDeleteThat looks so eerie!!
ReplyDeleteEerie is certainly the word most associated with this post Kim!
ReplyDeleteWow. I love misty mornings like this!!
ReplyDeleteMist yes, Rebecca ... but fog no!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot, so spooky
ReplyDeleteThank you Mary ... although it wasn't spooky. Very calm and very quiet which I like.
ReplyDeleteOooh eerily stunning!
ReplyDeleteThank you Luci - that is an apt description!
ReplyDeleteThat's a gorgeous photo! We had a "stop the car" moment to take this type of shot a while back. There were sheep in the field and they looked so strange surrounded by river mist. Love your photo :)
ReplyDeleteThank you - I went out specifically to take some photos. I was hoping for mist hanging in the valley but got this instead. Not complaining though.
ReplyDeleteEerie and beautiful
ReplyDeleteThank you Kate - I almost walked passed the tree without seeing it but turned round to check where the dogs were ... and there it was, looming out of the mist.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning picture. Truly stunning
ReplyDeleteThank you Renata - after I had taken the photo I stood for a while just to enjoy the moment.
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely Rosie. Good to see you getting so much feedback on your blog now too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Paul - a lot of the comments on Silent Sunday blogs come from a series of bloggers who all post a Silent Sunday picture blog. If you click on the Cosmic Girl link below the picture you can see the list of other bloggers.
ReplyDeleteI called into the post above this one (the one with the digger) but this photo caught my attention.
ReplyDeleteIt's stunning and so atmospheric!
A great shot! ;D
@Neesie - thank you - I had gone out hoping for a very different photo but was very pleased with what I ended up with. Lots of other people thought it was eerie or spooky where-as in fact it was very calm and like you said, atmospheric.
