Fantastic photos! I really like the one of the cat.
ReplyDeleteThank you - he was practising his superior look :)
DeleteA lovely effect in black and white, you have just the right amount of contrast to make them work #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteThank you - I now also know that my camera can take photos in black and white mode so I will have to try taking some shots in black and white rather than editing them afterwards.
DeleteLove them, the cat one especially. #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteThank you - he is a handsome beast isn't he?!
DeleteHi Rosie, I had a play with some black and white photos this week on Instagram too. It's amazing how a coloured photo can look so different and more dramatic in black and white.
ReplyDeleteI love your picture of that cow, she does not look impressed.
xx
For some pictures, black and white is much better and I love old photos because of the lack of colour. The original cow image was overexposed and rather boring but by changing the exposure a little and removing the colour it was so much nicer.
DeleteAnd you are right - she was not impressed. She had managed to secure a nice bit of dry straw to sit on and I reckon she was worried I was going to get her to move!
They look great. The cow looks so peaceful and I love the expression on the cat's face!
ReplyDeleteI think the cow was also worried I was going to move her off her newly found bit of dry straw ... and the cat was higher than me so practising being superior!
DeleteI just love black and white photos and these are fab, especially love the cow x
ReplyDeleteThank you, Cathy, I think the cow is my favourite too.
DeleteLove these photos, I think the cow photo is so beautiful
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up
Thank you and thank you also for hosting.
DeleteLove the grumpy looking cat - is it the one that has been inspecting our car this morning?
ReplyDeleteYes, that would be Firkin. He's really friendly so make sure he doesn't try and sneak in the gite! If he does you'll hear him as he purrs so loudly!
DeleteLove black and white - they always seem sharper somehow.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots Rosie.
Merci, Shaz - I love black and white (for the right shot)
DeleteOh me too because of Emma's brilliant newsletter which I now get because of you, so thank you! A lovely picture of Firkin and the cow is gorgeous xx
ReplyDeleteSO glad you joined the course :)
DeleteWell done with the black and white assignment this week - the cow looks really striking. I see that Kara is staying with you this week - tell her I said hi! Have fun :) #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteThank you - Hi passed and and she said hello back :)
DeleteLoving the photo of the cat :)
ReplyDelete#MySundayPhoto
That would be Firkin :)
DeleteLove the drama but my fave is the last one! Its a fun cat photo =)
ReplyDelete#mysundayphoto
He is a very fun cat ... and naughty.
DeleteThat reminds me I haven't done mine yet! Nice job with these :)
ReplyDeleteThese look fabulous! I adore black and white images just never seem to get mine to look so striking.
ReplyDeleteI think it is all down to the contrast - some photos work a lot better than others.
DeleteLovely set of pictures. I think my favourite is the cat. I just try and take more black and white photographs #mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteI altered these on the computer - next I need to head out with the camera set to black and white and see what photos I get that way.
DeleteGreat photos, especially the one of your cat :-) #pointshoot
ReplyDeleteThank you - he's hard to get a good shot off being black but these came out quite well.
DeleteThere's just something appealing about black and white, isn't there? Love the logs :) #PointShoot
ReplyDeleteI like those too and they are much better in black and white than in colour where the picture was really quite boring.
DeleteLove the black and white photos especially the cat one! He looks very smug with himself! #PointShoot x I
ReplyDeleteSmug a doing his best to look superior!
DeleteReally like that cat photo. The type of photo that should be on display. Geat shot #PointShoot
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure it's that good but thank you all the same!
DeleteI like the cow best, she's made for black and white (is she black and white in the flesh or brown and white?) She's so typically Norman, I can practically taste the camembert!
ReplyDeleteI've a feeling she was brown and white ... hang on - I'll go and look at the original ... ah, she was very dark brown and white! But you are right, she was an ideal model for my black and white photo practice.
