This is my blog, A Green and Rosie Life, which is all about helping you live life that bit greener without having to build an off-grid log cabin in the woods or knit your own nettle fibre undies! It's about helping you make simple changes that together will make a big difference to our beautiful world and make it a better place for our children.

It's tough being a cat!
ReplyDeleteI love how cats will always find a comfortably warm spot.
ReplyDeletewow it took me a while to spot the black cat x
ReplyDelete@Phoebe - certainly is a tough life ... these are two of our outdoor mousers but the black one, Firkin really is a cat who likes his luxuries and frequently sneaks inside ... and then gives himself away by purring so much!
ReplyDelete@John C - Simon had just come in with the car so it was the warmest spot on an otherwise miserable day
@New Mum Online - ha ha - the black cat is called Firkin and often sneaks indoors and hides on black chairs ... then as I said to Phoebe, he gives himself away by purring too much!
Lol I love my cats and they do love a car lol. That's you staying home then !
ReplyDelete@JollyJilly - we have 2 cars ;) How many cats do you have? We have 4 in total although one often goes off for weeks at a time as I wrote here: http://eco-gites.blogspot.fr/2013/12/rewriting-post-that-i-didnt-have-to.html
ReplyDeletethe absolute best place to be, not so warm around here though :)
ReplyDeleteAhh love it! They always find the warm spots to sleep x
ReplyDeleteThey look very comfortable, great photo xx
ReplyDelete@Coastal life and @Kim - yup - the warmest place to be! Then they play sliding down the windscreen leaving sliding paw prints all down it!
ReplyDelete@Glitzy - Cats do always mange to look comfortable don't they, sometimes in the oddest of places!
must be a hot spot!
ReplyDeleteAlways a perfect sunning spot!
ReplyDeleteCosy - bet they move sharpish when the engine gets switched on though!
ReplyDeleteThe PERFECT place for that nap... ;) xx
ReplyDelete@Becky, @Fiona (Coombe Mill), @Funky Wellies - yes, you are all right. A perfect warm place for a nap.
ReplyDelete@Sarah - the grey cat, Fumée is incredibly nervous so she is off long before we even get too near the car but the black cat, Firkin is a bit braver. He will stay until you open the car door and then he's off too before the engine is started!
ha ha this reminds me of where we live, i'm sure the cats keep watch and as soon as a new car rocks up they are there warming themselves up on the bonnets x
ReplyDeleteHard life for them!
ReplyDelete@HPMcQ - ours regularly site on the bonnet of our gite guests. No-one (yet) has complained!
ReplyDelete@The Reading Residence - hard life indeed ... and when the cars get cool, Firkin, the black one will try and get in the house despite the fact he is supposed to be an outdoor mouser! He really is a Firkin cat!
They look so chilled. Looking for a kitten right now as it goes
ReplyDeleteCosy cat.
ReplyDelete@Kate - -oooh, a kitten, I'm jealous! Hope you find the right one soon.
ReplyDelete@Jane - did you see the second one?
Cats always find the warmth!
ReplyDeleteThey do indeed don't they Scuffer ... and once the car has cooled down, Firkin, the black one tries to sneak indoors despite supposedly being an outdoor cat!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, they're gorgeous! My husband just looked over my shoulder and commented that cat footprints on his car is the one thing he doesn't miss about us not having a cat any more!
ReplyDeleteThey look so comfortable there - brilliant :)
ReplyDelete@Agooddaytodye - you need to get yourselves a kitten!
ReplyDelete@Charly - yup, something cats find to easy to achieve - looking comfortable where-ever they sleep!
Looks like someone found a warm, sunny spot to take a nap!
ReplyDeleteTwo of them in fact Faded Seaside mama ... and No 3 was on the spare insulation rolls in the barn!
