Our missing hen was found this evening by the girls of a English family who have a holiday cottage near us. We assume the hen had wandered into the adjacent maize field and got lost. She has now been reunited with the flock and will have her wings clipped tomorrow.

I am so glad you found that chicken - being your visitors during it's escape I felt somewhat guilty. We had a lovely time there and will definitely visit you in the winter.

What breed is she Rosie? She is very pretty
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I don't know - the man on the market said she should be a good layer and some-one else said she's a hybrid but that's as much as I know. We have 2 of that type - Chicken Licken and Mabel!!
