Animal Tales - 87

Welcome to Animal Tales, the blog linky that brings together all sorts of animal blog posts from all over the world.  It runs every other Tuesday to the following Thursday evening.

Farewell 2106

This is the last post for 2016, a year many might well be glad to see to the back off.  However there has been lots of good news too, including some great conservation stories.  Panda bears have now officially been moved off the endangered species list although their population is still classed as vulnerable.  As some-one who is old enough to remember a panda called Chi Chi at London Zoo and wondered if the species would ever be able to recover this is fabulous news.

Favourites from Last Time ...

Thank you to everyone who linked up on what was our 2 year birthday.  I particularly liked Debs post about walking on a Greek beach in winter with her lovely collection of dogs and Fiona's post about goat harmony on the farm.

And just before you link up, a quick reminder about my new monthly linky called GOING GREEN.  The next one will open on Jan 1st and some of your animal posts may well fit the theme of all things green, nature, conservation, sustainable, environmental, eco, organic etc. Hope to see you there!   More details can be found here and the first linky is here - Dec 2016 Going Green.

Over to you now.  Please add your ANIMAL posts below. The posts can be old or new and as varied as the animals who we share our world with. If you tweet with the hashtag #AnimalTales and @greenrosielife I'll retweet you.  Just give me a nudge if I appear to have forgotten you.

Full details of the linky can be found here but can I remind people of a couple of the "rules":

  • Please can you include my badge (preferably) or a link back to this blog.
  • This is a blog link so please comment on the host post and at least two other blogs in the link up, ideally including the one in front of you.
  • Pinterest - not a rule but for even greater exposure of your blog post please do join the Animal Tales Pinterest board and pin a picture from your linked posts. Vertical pictures are best for Pinterest.

    1. Thank you Fiona - it might only be small but, like you, I love reading all the animal stories.

  2. that's great to hear the pandas are off the endangered list, the only panda we've seen was in berlin Zoo in 2006, we took the youngest there to visit for his birthday as he's a huge panda fan, as you can probably tell from the panda on the veranda posts

    1. I'd be happy to never see one in a zoo if it meant their numbers were high enough to be safe in the wild.

  3. We tried to see the pandas at Edinburgh Zoo but they were being shy and wouldn't come out at all! Such good news for them though!

    1. Oh no - I did see one at London Zoo and I was surprised how small it was.
