With some big changes currently occurring in one of the main sites we advertise the gite on I feel that we need some feedback about how people book a self catering holiday, such as at Eco-Gites of Lenault. I have therefore designed a survey and hope that the results should help us decide the best way to market ourselves over the coming months and years.
I would be really grateful if you could fill in the survey below and point any friends or family to this post, if they, too, book self catering holidays. DeleteI've done it! My only comment is that I prefer a results list in order of price- no point reading about 5 star places that are out of my price range!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I didn't include pricing as that is usually an option that the holiday maker can tick. In comparison, credit cards and where owners have paid for a premium listing are not usually tickable and can be controlled by the rental site ie pay us more and we'll list you higher. Reviews are sometimes a tickable option but not on all sites.

Thank you - the options I gave are generally those that the holiday maker has no control over and are decided by the rental site ... and I don't know one owner who likes the idea that the only way they can appear further up the listings is if they pay 2-3 time more for a platinum listing. It is a system very weighted against the small individual owner.
