For your Holiday ....

Posted by Rosie

At some holiday cottages you are handed the keys on arrival, given a quick tour of how the temperamental hot water system works and that's it from the owners until the end of your holiday. We like to take a slightly different approach to your stay here and are on hand, where-ever possible, to help out when needed and provide some extra little services:
First night supper

  • Or arrival how about I cook you a simple fresh supper? I cake bake you a meat or veggie lasagne and serve it with a green salad and Pavlova for pudding.
  • Hate shopping or no space in the car?  Send me a list and I'll get your shopping done for you.
  • Fancy treating you and your loved ones to something special? What about having one of our luxury afternoon teas - eat at the gite/garden or have it packed into a hamper to take elsewhere.
  • Or I can cook a whole cake or plate of scones/biscuits/meringues for you ... there's a selection of home-made jams to go with the scones as well.
  • Like your food with minimum food miles? If you buy our eggs, meat or veg you'll be talking food metres rather than miles!
  • Everyone wants something different on the BBQ. Our BBQ pack means you can chose exactly how many sausages, burgers or chops etc you want and I'll prepare fresh salads to go with the meat. All you have to do it light the BBQ to cook the meat and then decide whether you want Brownies or another Pavlova for pudding.
  • Want to help out on the smallholding - don't worry I won't ask you to clean out the pigs (unless you really want to) but you can help collect the eggs and feed the animals.
  • No room in the car for bikes. We have several bikes of various sizes that you can borrow and the boules pitch is a great place for littlies to practice without stabilisers.
  • Want to make a table reservation or check somewhere is open but don't speak French - don't panic, we'll make the call for you.
We want your stay with us to be special and hope these little extras go some way to achieving this.

  1. A brilliant service. You must run yourselves ragged sometimes doing all this for folk, I hope it's all appreciated.
