Welcome to Going Green. This is the place to promote all your green, sustainable, environmental, seasonal, local, organic, fair trade, ethical etc posts ... basically any post that helps or inspires readers to preserve and improve our beautiful world. If you are not sure what posts would be good or need some ideas have a look here where you'll find all the details about the linky >>> Going Green Linky.
Plastic Free July ... for Ever!
Last month was Plastic Free July where we are asked to choose to refuse single-use plastic during July. Did you take part ... and more importantly will you carry on reducing your plastic use now and for ever?! I was really pleased to hear that it got a mention in Radio 4's You and Yours (A UK national radio consumer programme) although the response from both the supermarkets, the British Retail Consortium and the British Plastics Federation were depressing to say the least. I will add a separate blog about what was said as soon as I can find a few minutes and add it to the linky.
A quick apology
If you have used my Going Green Badge any time since the linky began I am afraid the image has been replaced with a horrible "ransom" image from Photobucket, who had hosted the image for me. They are now demanding that if any of the images they host are used on blogs etc then we must pay €399 PER YEAR for the service. For me that is for ONE image and quite unacceptable. So I have uploaded the Going Green image elsewhere and altered the badge in the July linky and henceforth. Please do change the new badge if you want to.
Have a beautiful week Rosie!
ReplyDeleteHI Rosie,
ReplyDeleteAnother month has gone by and Summer will soon be over. Hope you had a good one! Just wanted say thank you hosting the going green blog hop every month and helping to spread the word of green living and helping to live healthier for our bodies and environment. This month I have shared " Why You Should be Shopping at Farmers Markets!" & "How and Why to Reduce Toxic Plastic In Your Kitchen!" & " How to Create an Eco-friendly Living Space!"
Have a healthy, happy & blessed month.
Finally got to Link up again! Thanks for hosting and inviting me!
ReplyDelete(I always intend to comment on other blogs but sooo many of them require log in and set up with different accounts, which makes commenting extremely cumbersome. I read and boost their stats at least.)
Hope you are having a lovely summer. Looking forward to seeing everyone's green posts.
ReplyDeleteCrumbs, that's a lot of money to host a photo! Noted and have added the new code to my post. Off to read and comment now!
