Animal Tales - 44

Welcome to Animal Tales, the blog linky that brings together all sorts of animal blog posts from all over the world.  It runs from Tuesday morning thought to Friday night and showcases a wide range of animal related posts.

Porcine Updates

I was really hoping to bring you piglet pictures today as Coco Chanel, one of our pigs, is due to farrow (give birth) at any time ... just not in time for this week's Animal Tales.  She is huge, even more grumpy than normal as she does not want to be in the "maternity unit" and is point blank refusing to have her photo taken!!  Hopefully next week then ....

In the meantime other animals at Eco-Gites of Lenault have been enjoying the unusually warm early November weather as I posted yesterday.  Saari is really confused, or rather her coat is, and she is rapidly moulting the winter coat she has only just grown.  I do hope she can grow another one as this weather cannot last.  The weather might also be lulling some of our animals into a false sense of security but I can assure this ugly gorgeous creature that Christmas is only a few weeks away.  One of our young guests last week named this turkey stag Christmas Dinner!  So do you think he is ugly or gorgeous?

Male turkey called a stag

Apologies for the lack of Animal Tales over the last 2 weeks.  The boys and I were away in the UK with almost no internet access so it was not possible for me to host the linky.  Please feel free to add several posts if you had some scheduled to link up.  The posts can be old or new and as varied as the animals who we share our world with.  If you tweet with the hashtag #AnimalTales I'll retweet you.  Just give me a nudge if I appear to have forgotten you.

Full details of the linky can be found here but can I remind people of a couple of the "rules":

  • Please can you comment on at least 2 other blogs linked up - that is, after all the whole purpose of joining a linky to find and comment on more blogs and hopefully drive traffic back to your blog.
  • Please can you include my badge (preferably) or a link back to this blog.
  • Pinterest - not a rule but for even greater exposure of your blog post please do join the Animal Tales Pinterest board and pin a picture from your linked posts.
  • Can I remind people not to add sponsored posts or paid-for reviews.  Eco-Gites of Lenault has no advertising on it and I am not comfortable promoting products or companies I know nothing about.

    1. Clever dog! Saari thinks ball throwing is a complete waste of time and just looks at what-ever you have thrown before giving you a look that says - "You threw it - you go and get it!"

    1. It also means we can still keep the pigs outside which is good.
