Welcome to Animal Tales, the blog linky that brings together all sorts of animal blog posts from all over the world. It runs from Tuesday morning thought to Friday night and showcases a wide range of animal related posts.
Porcine Updates
I was really hoping to bring you piglet pictures today as Coco Chanel, one of our pigs, is due to farrow (give birth) at any time ... just not in time for this week's Animal Tales. She is huge, even more grumpy than normal as she does not want to be in the "maternity unit" and is point blank refusing to have her photo taken!! Hopefully next week then ....
In the meantime other animals at Eco-Gites of Lenault have been enjoying the unusually warm early November weather as I posted yesterday. Saari is really confused, or rather her coat is, and she is rapidly moulting the winter coat she has only just grown. I do hope she can grow another one as this weather cannot last. The weather might also be lulling some of our animals into a false sense of security but I can assure this

Full details of the linky can be found here but can I remind people of a couple of the "rules":
- Please can you comment on at least 2 other blogs linked up - that is, after all the whole purpose of joining a linky to find and comment on more blogs and hopefully drive traffic back to your blog.
- Please can you include my badge (preferably) or a link back to this blog.
- Pinterest - not a rule but for even greater exposure of your blog post please do join the Animal Tales Pinterest board and pin a picture from your linked posts.
- Can I remind people not to add sponsored posts or paid-for reviews. Eco-Gites of Lenault has no advertising on it and I am not comfortable promoting products or companies I know nothing about.
I'm back with a rare animal tale! Boy that turkey is ugly poor thing. It's not tempting as Christmas dinner seen like that!
ReplyDeleteYay - lovely to see you here, Phoebe! And you are right, male turkeys really are very weird looking but I supposed the ladies like him!
DeleteI'll be back shortly - I have a dog in my face citing contractual obligations to play ball. It's like he knows I'm linking up.
ReplyDeleteClever dog! Saari thinks ball throwing is a complete waste of time and just looks at what-ever you have thrown before giving you a look that says - "You threw it - you go and get it!"
DeleteWe're back and Freki is panting after a happy game of ball, so now I can talk turkey -or Christmas lunch ;p
ReplyDeleteHmmm - not until after Bonfire Night!
DeleteThis warm spell has been wonderful for all our animals too, they are jumping around like lambs in spring!
ReplyDeleteIt also means we can still keep the pigs outside which is good.
DeleteOoh, I'll look out for pics of piglets, I bet they'll be cute! Thank you for hosting. My post is about pet insurance but isn't a sponsored or paid post, just my thoughts. Hope that's ok!
ReplyDeleteThat's absolutely fine and I'll be over to read.
