Going Green #15 - Feb 2018

Welcome to Going Green.  This is the place to promote all your green, sustainable, environmental, seasonal, local, organic, fair trade, ethical etc posts ... basically any post that helps or inspires readers to preserve and improve our beautiful world.  If you are not sure what posts would be good or need some ideas have a look here where you'll find all the details about the linky >>> Going Green Linky.

Inspire me!

Do you have any specific green plans for February?  I'd love to hear from you as I can always do with some inspiration from fellow green enthusiasts.  Which is why I hope the 2 posts I have linked up this month will motivate you to take some more green steps.  And in a world that often seems so full of bad news have you heard of any good environmental stories?  The news that London will be bringing back water fountains in a step to eliminate single use plastic water bottles certainly cheered me up.  Do let me know any more good news stories you have come across.

My picks from Going Green January 2018

Thank you to everyone who linked up last month and it is lovely to see so many bloggers adding green posts - together we can spread our message far and wide!

With perhaps not too much gardening to be getting on with outside, 2 posts reminding us about the importance of indoor plants:
  • Carol at Comfort Spring wrote about the best house plants to have which can help clean the air and prevent sick building syndrome

  • Finally and on a totally different note Karen from The Mad House of Cats and Babies talked about washable sanitary pads
  •

Going Green is a subject I believe in with a passion I hope, that with your help, this little linky will go from strength to strength.  Please link up to 3 posts, old or new and let's work together to spread the word that Going Green is both important but also easy.  Please promote the linky on all your social media channels and amongst all your friends. Thank you 💚.

Before you link up may I just remind you of 3 of the "rules":

  • Link up a maximum of THREE posts - any more will be deleted (sorry)
  • Please can you include my badge (preferably) or a link back to A Green and Rosie Life.
  • This is a blog link so in order for us all to benefit please comment on a minimum of three other blogs in the link up, ideally including the one in front of you, one my host posts and one other ... the more you comment the more others are likely to visit your blog.

If you share your posts using the hashtag #GoingGreen and I will RT you etc.  I will also add posts with suitable vertical pins to my Going Green Linky board on Pinterest.

  4. The water fountains are a great idea. I think they should use them in all schools too.I'm planning on writing about my efforts to start a veg patch, would that be suitable to link up? #mmbc

  7. Hi Rosie, we have a few water fountains in a city not far from me, Hull, has had two installed because they had the title 'city of culture' in 2017. Its my plan to visit in the next month or so! I also read about the campaign in London, which is awesome! In a report I read from the House Of Commons, they want to introduce freely available drinking water in public places all around the UK. It would make such a difference. I am thinking about campaigning for some in our little town when I have some more time on my hands in September!
