England ...
Cornwall ...
Boscastle ...
A village nearly destroyed by terrible floods in 2004.
A village once again thriving on tourism and the lobster trade.
Small industry keeping a small village alive in 2016.
This is my blog, A Green and Rosie Life, which is all about helping you live life that bit greener without having to build an off-grid log cabin in the woods or knit your own nettle fibre undies! It's about helping you make simple changes that together will make a big difference to our beautiful world and make it a better place for our children.
Love the history behind the picture. I love Cornwall, hoping to get there later in the year.
ReplyDeleteIt was my first trip to Cornwall in 14 years and I loved it. I remember seeing about the floods on the news, as they happened 2 years after we were in the area. Thank goodness no-one was killed and the only loss was one poor dog. It could have been so much worse. The grocer's shop shows the water height at it's peak and it was at ceiling level.
DeleteThis is just up the road from us I love to see the lobster pots alongside the Harbour
ReplyDeleteWhere are you? I must admit I always thought you were further in to Cornwall.
DeleteLove lobster - your picture is making me hungry! Love hte texture and colours on the pots.
ReplyDeleteThat is what caught my eye too.
DeleteIt's pleasing to hear that a small industry is thriving in this town; fishing ports are so interesting and fun places to take photos.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts too. It was so pretty and I took loads of photos.
DeleteI love the different textures and the story behind the photo.
