    1. That's what caught my eye although I was initially trying for a decent sea gull photo. I failed on that one LOL

    1. It's not always this calm - we've been up on the coast on some really windy and cold days. A few years ago pre-Christmas storms washing thousands of star fish up on the sand.

    1. We did thank you, Susan and it was so calm and mild. Coats were an optional extra! Last year it was very windy and the year before REALLY cold.

  8. Bosing day was lazy, then the teen and I cooked a full dinner with all the trimmings followed by hubby and i visiting friends for the evening. We had planned to walk on the beach but it rained all day yesterday. It looks quite warm on the beach

    1. Sounds fun and yes it was warm here in Normandy - 14ºC and no coats needed. Very odd for December.

  10. That is a beautiful, peaceful, shot. I spent mine decorating my teens birthday cake, then taxiing him and his friends home, slightly drunk (them, not me) x

    1. It was incredibly calm. On other Boxing Day visits it has been much more rough but not this year.

  16. I went for a quick walk with my sister in law in between pouring rain and howling gales! We had the worst weather I can remember for Christmas, but it wasn't at all cold, just very wet and windy. While back at home it was sunny and beautiful as always!!!
