What a beautiful scene, there's nothing better than a winter walk on the beach.
ReplyDeleteIt was a lot milder than last year mind you - coats were not needed!
DeleteI know the feeling, winter doesn't quite feel like it's here yet! Thanks for linking up with me on Country Kids.
DeleteIt's been a bit more wintry these last couple of days mind you.
DeleteWow what a beautiful place for a Boxing Day walk...we mainly spend the day eating more
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a good Christmas
Thank you for linking up
We did the eating bit as well ;)
DeleteGreat composition! I particularly like the reflections.
ReplyDeleteThat's what caught my eye although I was initially trying for a decent sea gull photo. I failed on that one LOL
DeleteThat looks like such a tranquil place to go for a walk - fabulous!
ReplyDeleteIt's not always this calm - we've been up on the coast on some really windy and cold days. A few years ago pre-Christmas storms washing thousands of star fish up on the sand.
DeleteFantastic photo! It looks so peaceful there x
ReplyDeleteThank you Kim - it got busier after a while but when we arrived we almost had the beach to ourselves.
DeleteBeautiful reflection. Lovely to be able to get out to the beach so readily
ReplyDeleteWe don't get there as often as we would like but I do like a winter walk up there.
DeleteWhat a beautiful photo. Looks lovely and peaceful. Hope you had a great Christmas x
ReplyDeleteWe did thank you, Susan and it was so calm and mild. Coats were an optional extra! Last year it was very windy and the year before REALLY cold.
DeleteBosing day was lazy, then the teen and I cooked a full dinner with all the trimmings followed by hubby and i visiting friends for the evening. We had planned to walk on the beach but it rained all day yesterday. It looks quite warm on the beach
ReplyDeleteSounds fun and yes it was warm here in Normandy - 14ºC and no coats needed. Very odd for December.
DeleteSuper photo, love the reflections too :)
ReplyDeleteThank you - it worked so well with Tom's red top.
DeleteThat is a beautiful, peaceful, shot. I spent mine decorating my teens birthday cake, then taxiing him and his friends home, slightly drunk (them, not me) x
ReplyDeleteHa ha - I am heading fast to that stage!
DeleteYour sea looks so much calmer than ours! #mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteIt was incredibly calm. On other Boxing Day visits it has been much more rough but not this year.
DeleteI wish we could have gone for a beach walk here. The weather was certainly warm enough, but about 2 hours drive one way... nope. Beautiful photo.
ReplyDeleteIt's an hour for us but has become a bit of a tradition now.
DeleteLovely composition
ReplyDeleteMollyxxx
Thank you, Molly, I loved your windblown tree.
DeleteSuch a beautiful image, looks stunning #mysundayphoto x
ReplyDeleteMerci, Kerri-Anne.
DeleteI love a walk on the beach over Christmas, and what a beach! Great shot. Merry Christmas to you and yours :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Jane and Happy New Year!
DeleteOh Rosie what a stunning photo, that beach looks just stunning x
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely beach and so calm on Boxing Day - it's not always like that in winter!
DeleteI went for a quick walk with my sister in law in between pouring rain and howling gales! We had the worst weather I can remember for Christmas, but it wasn't at all cold, just very wet and windy. While back at home it was sunny and beautiful as always!!!
ReplyDeleteChristmas Day was like that but the rest of the festive period was lovely. I have never known it so calm and mild.
Deletethat is a lovely photo rosie. happy new year.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sherry and Happy New Year to you too.
DeleteWhat a gorgeous photo - wish I had been on the beach too! #countrykids
ReplyDeleteIt was fabulous and so different from previous years when it was very cold and windy. That said I love this beach what-ever the weather.
DeleteYour photo is lovely and makes me relax just looking at it. We spent Boxing Day hiking through the woods to feed wild Chickadees.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds fun!
DeleteWhat a lovely way to spend Boxing Day. We just stayed home and eat the leftovers. ;) Hope you had a great New Year! :) #Countrykids
ReplyDeleteWe always try and get up to the beach on Boxing Day but is has never been as calm and mild as this time.
