This is my blog, A Green and Rosie Life, which is all about helping you live life that bit greener without having to build an off-grid log cabin in the woods or knit your own nettle fibre undies! It's about helping you make simple changes that together will make a big difference to our beautiful world and make it a better place for our children.

Oh, sad sad face! Hope the collar can come off before too long!
ReplyDeleteShe may well be stuck with it for 3 weeks :(
Deletepoor baby, such a sad look on his face, is he an old boy (or girl?), would love a black lab for our next dog x
ReplyDeleteShe is Poppy and not that old - only 8 but she has gone grey early (like me!!). Labs are wonderful dogs - although they are terrible thieves!
DeleteAww, bless. Poor sad dog!
ReplyDeleteThank you - she is not impressed is she?!
DeletePoor baby indeed! I do hope he'll be set free very soon... x
ReplyDeleteShe's still got rather a while to go :(
DeleteThat is not a happy face - poor thing.
ReplyDeleteShe is normally such a happy hound and of course does not understand why she has to wear this!
DeleteAww! Bless! Such a sad face :(
ReplyDeleteShe is normally so happy! In fairness though she has now slightly resigned herself to her "Lampshade".
DeleteAww sad face. Remember when a dog we had had to wear one of those, they must be so annoying. Hope he's alright (I always call dogs he's!)
ReplyDeleteThank you - he is in fact Poppy and her injury is not at all bad but she will not stop licking it and making it worse hence the "lampshade" :(
DeleteSo what's the story to the sad face? :-(
ReplyDeleteShe has a minor injury on the inside of a back leg and will not stop licking it (we think she may have canine OCD!) - she has licked it so much that it won't heal and is forming an ever growing lump now. So she mustn't lick it until it is completely healed ... the vet reckons about 3 weeks :( I do however have an anti-biting product that I am hoping I can use to deter her once a sufficiently large scab has formed. How are your canine friends?
DeletePoor thing. Get well soon
ReplyDeleteThank you - the collar is rather excessive for the injury (see the reply I wrote to Maria above) but totally necessary at the moment.
DeleteOh no! Not the cone! Anything but the cone!! Hope all is well x
ReplyDeleteLOL - we call it the lampshade! She's doing fine thank you - which is more than can be said for our kegs, furniture, our other dog ....
DeleteAhhh, she does look sorry for herself! I hope it heals soon. Our poor childhood cat had to wear one of these once. My mum probably still has the scars!
ReplyDeleteSame here re scars - the "lampshade" is looking very much the worse for wear now!
DeleteOh dear lol my cat had to lose her lampshade because she point blank stopped eating and drinking ! Hope your doggie gets better soon
ReplyDeleteShe's a Labrador so it takes more than a lampshade to put her off her food! Hope you cat fully recovers soon too.
DeleteAww he looks so sorry for himself, nothing worse than an itch you can't scratch!
ReplyDeleteAnd scratching/licking an itch is what got her to the point of needing the lampshade in the first place!
DeleteOh bless! our family dog hated having to have a collar fitted. Never much fun :(
ReplyDeleteBeing home alone today and so with few distractions around I have managed to keep the collar off for a while today and only ut it on again only when she was tempted to start licking again.
