Really interesting portrait. I looked at it for a few mins! I always wonder what their story is.

DeleteI don't know who she is but her hair is exactly the same colour as her dress!
ReplyDeleteI know - I wonder if she always ended up wearing grey. I'm so glad I don't have to wear all that clobber and do my hair like that every day - it would scare the pigs! She's an unknown ancestor but I suspect she never got her hands dirty!

DeleteVery interesting photo. She looks like I imagine Queen Marie Antoinette would have looked. Wonder how they managed to go to the toilet with all that lot on?!
ReplyDeleteMaybe I am descended from French aristocracy! And as for going to the toilet I have no idea. Possibly with a servant in tow!
