One of the things we made sure we had when looking for a place to turn into a gite was that it would have enough space for our younger guests to play outside. As parents of 2 young boys we knew that sometimes on holiday you just wanted to relax in the garden where-as the boys wanted to run around and play! We also realised we needed to build something pretty quickly for the boys because despite all the space here at Eco-Gites of Lenault there were mutterings that they had had to leave their wooden tower and slide back in the UK :(
Did we succeed? Is there space for children to play outdoors! Can the adults sit and relax? Read on and you can make your own decision.

If you and your children like walking there are miles of local footpaths that start right at our back gate. You can take bikes along them or just wander around at a leisurely pace admiring the wild flowers and local wildlife. You'll see loads of birds and if you are lucky possibly even a red squirrel. There's one squirrel we regularly see down the valley but Saari STILL hasn't realised that if you chase a squirrel it will dash up a tree and for all intents and purposes disappear into thin air!
So? Did we succeed? Will both adults and children enjoy a bit of outdoor living whilst staying at Eco-Gites of Lenault? I think so! If you think so too why not visit our website for further details on everything we have to offer and how to book a countryside holiday here.
Once again I'm linking up with Coombe Mill to see what other countryside activities children have been up to this week.
I definitely think you've succeeded-it looks absolutely brilliant :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind appraisal!
DeleteI love that you have a cat called Henry! #CountryKids
ReplyDeleteHenry was a rescue cat and arrived with us called Timmy. Simon had already had a cat called Timmy and had wanted one called Henry so Henry he became (the cat, not Simon!). He is definitely more of a Henry than a Timmy!
Deleteit looks fab! must convince my parents to bring us there next year ;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you Becky - we would love to see you all here next year :)
DeleteIt rather sounds like we are enjoying a very similar lifestyle. It is a perfect way to raise a family, I wonder if our children will appreciate it in years to come?
ReplyDeleteI was brought up on a farm in The Cotswolds and the life stayed with me - only time will tell if the boys want the same as they grow up ... likewise with yours. Shall we compare notes in a few years time?!
DeleteOh, that looks brilliant, I definitely think you've succeeded :) #CountryKids
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comment Sara :)
DeleteI'm sure it will be appreciated by all your family visitors. Lots of fun to be had! #CountryKids
ReplyDeleteThank you Cheryl - we try hard to give our guests a memorable family holiday and having all this outdoor space really helps!
DeleteOh wow this sounds (and looks!) absolutely amazing. You've definitely succeeded there, it looks fantastic. I say this every time but you have such a fabulous place there too!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing your wonderful story about the Devil's Punch Bowl. I love it when somewhere I write about means something to someone else :)
Thank you Charly - glad you liked my little story too.
DeleteLooks perfect, Arthur(3) would love it! Maybe next year! Our daughter is on oxygen, and if we want to travel abroad we have to pay for it locally and it isn't cheap, but hopefully she'll be totally off it by next Summer, we will definitely be visiting!!
ReplyDeleteWe'd love to see you here ... so come on Willow - get off that oxygen and bring Mum, Dad and Arthur over to see us.
DeleteThat looks great to me, nothing more fun for children than climbing and bouncing and looking at animals. Gorgeous fun in my favourite country what more could you want. #countrykids
ReplyDeleteThe you need to book yourselves a holiday here ;)
DeleteThis looks perfect for some outdoor summer days!
ReplyDeleteThere's fun to be had all year round here but I must say we are all now looking forward to some summer warmth!
