14 things to do at Eco-Gites of Lenault in 2014

Wondering what to do if you visit 

Eco-Gites of Lenault in Normandy, France 

for a holiday this year?


Read on for lots of inspiration:

 

Let's go fly a kite
 1.  Fly a kite on the beach - or sunbathe, or go for a horse ride, or build a sand castle ....

2.  Visit the birthplace of William the Conqueror - Falaise Castle

3.  Go for a walk or bike ride - there's a path right from our back gate and loads of routes to chose from.

4.  Pay tribute to the brave men and women of WWII - visit a cemetery or war museum, follow one of the D-Day Landing routes or the beaches themselves.

5.  Visit an art gallery - Honfleur has plenty to chose from and our local town of Condé-sur-Noireau even has one!

6.  Tickle Boris Johnson (he's one of our pigs!)

7.  Relax in the garden whilst your children wear themselves out in the play area and on the trampoline.

8.  Cycle along a railway track - there 2 Vélorails to chose from locally.

9.  Walk along the side of a cliff - the Via Ferrata at Clécy

10.  Go horse-riding. There are 2 riding stables close by.

11.  Visit THAT tapestry.  (Bayeux is also lovely for shopping).

12.  Eat local produce - Camembert and other cheeses, teurgoule (local rice pudding), tarte normande (apple tart), crêpes, seafood galore and of course drink cider and Calvados.

13.  Visit Suisse Normande - we are right on the edge of this beautiful region where you can enjoy activities as varied as paragliding to miniature railways, canoeing to geology museums !

14.  Wonder why you didn't book a longer break at Eco-Gites of Lenault in Normandy, France as there is SO much to do!

  3. What a wonderful list!! Now I'll have to visit sometime!! What fun you all are having!! Hubby got to visit #4 when he was still in the Army. A very special memory. I LOVE the picture of the piggies!! :) Nice to meet you!!

  5. I love your list Rosie and having done pretty much all your suggestions that don't involve your place not only do I concurr with you that they're all great things to do but I obviously now need to book a holiday chez toi to complete the list!
