We have five dogs and between them they have picked up all the bad doggy habits you mention...Except none can hurdle a fence (that we know of) and not only do they roll in sheep poo a couple of them are rather partial to eating it too!....Really not nice!Debbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14933494199087059715noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2878260668698530448.post-35767527410626152592015-01-22T20:54:53.737+01:002015-01-22T20:54:53.737+01:00I think it would be a good idea. We thought about getting another dog before Poppy died but as we had no idea how long she would live after the cancer diagnosis and 3 BIG dogs (plus the ones we dog sit) for any length of time would have been too much. I would always say get another dog if you have the space. Seeing Saari getting on better with Harry day by day is such a lovely thing.<br />A Green and Rosie Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02501989987736281707noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2878260668698530448.post-1685528878457863702015-01-22T20:50:58.484+01:002015-01-22T20:50:58.484+01:00Shhhhh - don't mention digging. Your post about Saari teaching Harry is really interesting. We are debating whether we should get another while we've still got Pluto to make the second dog easier to train with Plu's help... as you'll see from my post, we're not sure this is a good idea ;)Plutonium Soxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02061413795610750961noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2878260668698530448.post-61476664661347132912015-01-21T11:22:30.697+01:002015-01-21T11:22:30.697+01:00I usually (but only due to space and time constrai...I usually (but only due to space and time constraints!) only have one dog at a time but I once looked after another Labrador for 6 weeks while her owner was away. Stella taught Lindy about climbing stairs and Lindy taught Stella about digging up the garden! They would play together and sleep together but never wanted to walk together. I got a lot of exercise in those 6 weeks! So glad Harry is doing so well already :) Lisa from Lisas Lifehttp://lisas-life.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2878260668698530448.post-90715416059280695932015-01-21T01:04:45.874+01:002015-01-21T01:04:45.874+01:00Im hoping J teaches spotty dog to go to the toilet...Im hoping J teaches spotty dog to go to the toilet outside but no luck yet. Our cats don't seem to pick up much from each other, although sometimes our bigger, heavier cat tries to copy jumping on our shoulders and it really doesn't work. Still it seems like they become more and more like each other every day. I certainly hope that Harry manages to teach a few good habits to Saari along the way.
